Date No First Therapy

This field should be filled in when the calculated Treatment Start Date (ACoS) is blank.

• If the physician decides not to treat the patient, record the date of this decision as Date No First Therapy.

• If the patient or guardian refuses treatment, record the date of this decision.  

• If patient agrees to treatment, but expires before treatment could be initiated, code the date of death.

• For autopsy only cases, record the date of death.

• If the patient was diagnosed at the reporting facility and no further information is available, record the date the patient was last seen at the reporting facility.

• If the exact date is unknown, an estimated date may be used.

• Code '99999999' when it is unknown if any treatment was given, or if the date cannot be reasonably estimated.

This means no first course definitive treatment of any type was administered to any site (primary, regional or distant).
